Pete,
Thanks so much for the shout-out. I truly appreciate it, and you went above and beyond (I’m a mastermind now. Boo-yah!)
Astro City & Solo are two big favorites of mine. I remember after the fallout of Marvels, Busiek was starting up Astro City and Untold Tales of Spider-Man. That was when I really took notice of his work, and I’ve been a big fan of him since. And Solo is easily one of my favorite series of the past number of years – along with Batman: Black & White and Wednesday Comics. Mark Chiarello is one of the few editors who seems to want to make work – within the mainstream world, if I may utilize that overused phrase – that I want to read. Steve Wacker is another editor who works on books I want to read, regardless of his sometimes unprofessional online persona.
Anyway. I applaud you for “running the race,” as you approach your first anniversary of The Daily Rios. I know the time that must be put into such an endeavor – and how little voices will whisper at the back of your mind, telling you to “take just one day off because, really, who will notice?” Thanks for your effort, and I look forward to what’s to come on the podcast.

Thanks for the kind words, Chris! I’m always thinking ahead – and I’ll fill everyone in at the end of June about Year Two!
