I’ve always been surprised that I didn’t embrace Green Lantern in the late 70s/early 80s like I did with Legion. I bought the Tales mini and loved it! I also bought issues 111-112 (featuring the Golden Age GL), and a couple more later. I did get the gray temple Hal series for the first 9 months, and returned with GL: Recharge and loved that reinvention. Hal Jordan & the GL Corps was a great series post New 52. I also loved Morrison’s and Sharpe’s Season 1/2 series. But I’ve read very little of the All In launch.
I know during the Johns run, DC tried to make GL the fourth pillar and I think it’s well deserved. It’s a pity it didn’t keep. Finally, I really dislike the social media hashtag #HalRuinsEverything is unjustified and petty.
