  1. Ugh. August 1991 was 25 years ago? Now I feel old as that was the summer right before my junior year of high school I remember getting a lot of the comics you talked about here. Armageddon 2001 was the intro for me to a lot of DC and obviously I was a big fan of Infinity Gauntlet. I was also a big fan of Impact! Comics and was buying pretty much the entire line. The Fly was my favorite with that great Mike Parobeck art. I must make two confessions. First, I’m with you on that era of Avengers. I really remember loving that arc with Steve Epting art and the Gatherers. Second confession. I think I have every issue of NFL Superpro. However never cared about the NFL itself. Go figure.

    1. “Summer before junior year” sounds like the Golden Age of reading comics for most people. The stuff you always remember and can never sour. I was just getting back into comics in 1990/91 after a 2-3 year break so I’m in the same boat, for the most part, with all those comics you mentioned.
