Concerning JJ Abrams and Star Trek: I love his work but there’s a danger of “Abraming” popular culture. There should be room for different approachs to film making; we shouldn’t expect all our movies to have the Abram’s formula but that’s what’s going to happen because he generates revenue. But then again, we’re the ones buying tickets, that’s how we vote. I agree with you: Star Wars shouldn’t feel like Star Trek.
