Recommendations for the week of April 23rd. Mostly Big Two stuff – and hey! That’s okay!:

ELEKTRA 1
Elektra series never really last all that long. But this one has artwork by Mike Del Mundo who was the artist behind the recent brilliant X-Men Legacy covers. And so far I’m hearing good things.

SECRET ORIGINS 1
The 1986 volume of Secret Origins started the month after Crisis… ended – with origin stories that were still pulling from a few pre-Crisis histories and which, for the most part, rarely became the definitive origin. With this latest volume, the New 52 is just over two and a half years old. It’ll be interesting to see if these origins truly reach definitive status or if they’ll just be “a version”. This issue features Superman, Supergirl and Dick Grayson.

OTHER:
– a quick nod to Flash #30, the start of the Flash of the Future storyline that will bring in the New 52 version of Wally West. Whether you like it or not. Heh.
– also, as mentioned two posts ago, Boom has released Mike Hunkel’s Herobear and the Kid: Saving Time #1 with a George Pérez variant.
