Hi Peter, I was curious how much does it cost to rent the rights to put on a really popular play? I know it must vary but would it be possible for a local theatre to put on a production of Les Miserables?
It’s possible, if you have the money. Rental/royalties are based on size of theatre, number of performances, ticket prices, etc. Some shows are cheaper than others. Here’s the request form for more information: http://www.mtishows.com/content.asp?id=3_1_0
